Learn how to care for patients with various spinal cord injuries.
This course will begin with the anatomy and physiology of the uninjured spinal cord. Learners will then build upon those basics through discussions on selected changes associated with spinal cord injuries, assessment techniques and anticipated emergencies.

- Discuss the anatomy of the spine and the anatomy and physiology of the spinal cord
- Review the importance of a thorough neurological assessment and acknowledge the details of how some of those assessment pieces may be altered in a patient with a spinal cord injury
- Reflect on the survival barriers that may be caused by spinal cord injuries
