Solid Organ Transplants
Appropriately care for patients awaiting for, or after they have received, a solid organ transplant.
In 2021, over 40,000 organs were transplanted in the United States alone. Whether you work at a large transplant center, a critical access health facility, or in the pre-hospital environment, you are likely to encounter patients who are waiting for or have received a solid organ transplant. This course will review the solid organ transplant process and how to best care for patients before and after the transplant in the emergency setting.
