Key:

Transitioning into the air medical industry can often be confusing, frustrating and difficult. Hiring standards and practices vary by facility and rely heavily on personal recommendation, experience and education. Flight team positions are in high demand, but often limited and competitive among applicants.
Once hired as a flight team member, the journey is just beginning. You’ll go through orientation, secure a mentor or preceptor and likely be expected to continue your education and training. Advanced certifications need to be obtained, continuing education to retain licensure must be completed and a systematic enrichment of basic and advanced knowledge should continue throughout a care
