Be prepared to care for neonatal patients with signs of sepsis.
Neonates risk sepsis through maternal transmission soon after birth but can also develop sepsis days later. This course will introduce you to neonatal sepsis, including signs and symptoms, recommended blood work and lab value interpretation while summarizing treatment modalities. This knowledge will allow you to choose proper medications to be administered and supportive therapies to prevent further deterioration.
