Innovating Simple Solutions to Complex Problems - The Broselow Perspective
The Emergency Department can be a high risk setting for patients and the healthcare team. The expensive EHRs and state of the art diagnostic equipment in use today overlook one critical component necessary to reduce risk. In this webinar, Dr. Broselow and Robin Shannon will discuss a simple approach to solving a complex problem and how ED nurses can reduce risk for our most vulnerable patients.
Dr. Broselow has devoted his professional career to patient safety. His original innovation, the Broselow Tape, is used internationally to provide safe care during pediatric resuscitation. He is Board certified in Family Practice and Emergency Medicine and has received the Lifetime Achievement Award from the Institute for Safe Medication Practices.
After a clinical career in a wide variety of acute clinical settings, Robin assumed leadership roles in practice settings and software firms. Before joining Dr. Broselow, she served as the Chief Product Officer for T-System.
