General Trauma Concepts
This course will cover trauma basics, decision making during transportation of a trauma patient, pathophysiology of trauma, different types of traumatic events and treatment modalities of trauma patients.
1. Explain the importance of Mechanism of Injury
2. Differentiate between types of trauma (high vs. low velocity; blunt vs. penetrating)
3. Identify basic diagnostic tools related to trauma (labs, scans, etc.)
