Emergency Care of the Gender Diverse Patient
Recognize appropriate care for gender-diverse patients.
Proper care and communication with all ED patients is vital to the well-being of each individual. In this course, we will discuss the best ways for the ED nurse to approach and care for the gender-diverse patient. Communication and assessment techniques will be discussed, including the importance of screening for depression, suicidal thoughts and suicidal ideations.
