Emergency Cardiac Care: An Overview
Review the electrical, coronary, and structural components that make up the cardiac system.
This course is designed to challenge the emergency nurse to consider multiple components of the cardiac system during each cardiac-related presentation. While stressing the importance of a well-functioning care system, the course will review how the coronary arteries, electrical conduction system and structure and function of the heart itself all present their own unique considerations.

1. Describe the basic structures of the cardiac system
2. Recognize emergency presentations regarding the coronary arteries
3. Recognize emergency presentations regarding disorders of the electrical circuitry
4. Recognize emergency presentations regarding structural heart issues
