BCEN’s Certibration is a virtual event celebrating certified success and honoring nurses like you who continue to go above and beyond after many uncertain and overwhelming months.
If you attended our 40th Anniversary virtual tribute event in 2020, you know what to expect: lots of laughter, tons of inspiration and one heck of a party. This year, we’re bringing back all the fun, but with a few new faces, and some new features.
This event will include award honorees, a presentation from Paralympian and bestselling author Josh Sundquist, messages from the BCEN Board of Directors and CEO, and an emcee to keep you entertained throughout.

John Sundquist
Josh Sundquist is a Paralympian and bestselling author who has shared his story at events across the world. His high-energy blend of humor and inspiration motivates audiences to adopt his ski racing motto 1MT1MT (one more thing, one more time).
Be resilient during times of change Maintain a sense of humor within stressful circumstances Face adversity with strength and courage Reverse negative trends and rebound from disappointment Plan for the future with an expanded vision of what could be possible
Josh's life story is a reminder of how all our stories are interconnected, how even our smallest actions and decisions impact the world around us. You’ll walk away with a fresh perspective on everything you have to be grateful for, with resolve to overcome whatever challenges you may be facing, and with a commitment to do 1MT1MT to reach your fullest potential. You will carry Josh's empowering message of hope and determination in your hearts and minds long after the conclusion of the presentation.
The objective of the overall event is to feel celebrated and honored for going above and beyond your role(s). Expect to be inspired, laugh and feel entertained as BCEN honors YOU the nurse.
The objective of Josh’s presentation: How to fall forward by learning from disappointment and failures, why our results are based more on our response to adversity than our response to success, and how to keep swinging when we feel like we have struck out.
